Stereo MC's at Ban Jelačić Square

The New Year’s Eve programme at Ban Josip Jelačić Square on December 31st will feature a concert by the British hip-hop band, Stereo MC’s – a gift to Zagreb’s citizens and their guests from the Zagreb Tourist Board.

The Zagreb Tourist Board is organizing a concert by the British band, Stereo MC’s, which will take place on December 31st as part of the New Year’s Eve celebration programme at Ban Josip Jelačić Square.

The British hip-hop band, Stereo MC´s, has been active since 1985. In the world of music, they are recognized for their cult album, “Connected”, which was recorded back in 1992. That album features the band’s greatest hits such as: “Connected”, “Step It Up”, “Creation”, and “Ground Level”. Although Stereo MC’s have not recorded many albums during their career, they have performed on stages across the globe. Moreover, they were the first British hip-hop band to make it onto the U.S. charts.

They recorded their latest studio album “Double Bubble” in 2008. The band has already performed in Zagreb on several occasions; last year they held a concert in Split, while this year they performed at the amphitheatre in Pula.
