The Neanderthal Trail
Until February 15th, the Zagreb Archaeological Museum will feature an exhibition: The Neanderthal Trail. It has been conceived as a cultural and tourist itinerary; an invitation to visit the most impressive archaeological sites featuring remains of the Neanderthal culture in Croatia.
Until February 15th, the Zagreb Archaeological Museum will feature an exhibition: The Neanderthal Trail. It has been adapted to all age groups and will be particularly appreciated by aficionados of archaeology, travel and exploration.
Whilst strolling through the exhibit space, visitors can acquaint themselves with all the significant Croatian prehistoric culture sites, and learn about the Neanderthal way of life through various virtual presentations and film projections. This exhibition offers all aficionados of archaeological research an opportunity to familiarize themselves with Neanderthal locales and culture, and it also invites them to visit the most interesting Croatian habitats of prehistoric man.
The exhibition is divided into three parts. The first part presents the life of the Neanderthal man through time and space, as well as their physical features and characteristics, spiritual life and, finally, their destiny. The second part presents all the Croatian sites with remains of Neanderthal material culture, while the third part unifies the first two parts as a key element of the cultural-tourist itinerary, inviting all aficionados of travel and exploration to get to know all the archaeological sites of the prehistoric man in Croatia.
