The seventh Museum Night
For the seventh consecutive year, many of Zagreb’s museums will take part in this year’s cultural event “Museum Night”, which will take place on January 27th. On that night, visitors can look forward to numerous surprises and many different programmes.
In this year’s “Museum Night” event, many of Zagreb’s museums will open their doors for a night visit of their exhibits. This year’s event, which will take place on January 27th, is expected to attract a record number of visitors. The first event, organized in 2005, set a trend whereby Zagreb’s museums have been attracting increasing interest from domestic as well as foreign audiences. That is why this year’s event will feature numerous concurrent events and surprises.
Zagreb’s museums feature several large, representative exhibitions at the moment. To mention a few: “Tizian, Tintoretto, Veronese: The Great Masters of Renaissance Beauty” at the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery, or the representative exhibition “Symbols of Luxury – Goldsmith Masterpieces from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection” at the Museum of Arts and Crafts. The participating museums are in close vicinity to each other, within walking distance, which enables visitors to see more than just one museum on the evening of the event.
There will be no entrance fee to any of the museums, so this year’s “Museum Night” is expected to break another record in terms of the number of visitors.
