The sweetest place in town

Between February 12th and 15th, the home of the Croatian Association of Artists will be the venue for the 4th Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest. In addition to tantalizing flavours and aromas, there will be a lot of interesting things to see and do and good fun will certainly be had by all.

Not only for those in love and those who are waiting to fall in love any day now, the month of February in Zagreb will be marked by Coffee & Chocofest. This year’s fourth edition of the sweetest festival in town will showcase the best of the best in the coffee and chocolate world. The festival will take place in the home of the Croatian Association of Artists in Trg Žrtava Fašizma Square between February 12th and 15th.

Although conceived as an exhibition and sales event, it offers visitors a host of interesting events including presentations, cooking shows, workshops for children and adults, and art exhibitions. This year, the Slovenian artist Gorazd Potočnik will present his chocolate paintings at the exhibition “My Chocolate Look of Taste”. This artist, who is a patisserie chef by trade, expresses his love of chocolate in paintings, which arguably do not last long because he uses different kinds of chocolate instead of conventional paints.

Apart from this interesting exhibition, this year’s Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest visitors will be able to hear various stories from the history of coffee and chocolate and sample new flavours and aromas. They will learn about the best praline making process, how to marry wine and chocolate, and how to prepare dog treats. Experts will be at hand for those who wish to learn more to demonstrate the skills of making finger food by combining various types of chocolate, carving fruit and vegetables in a decorative way, taking the best food photos, etc. There will be many other interesting happenings which will provide all the visitors with the opportunity to learn a thing or two about coffee and chocolate, while having good fun in the process and indulging their sweet tooth at this sweetest festival in town.
