World Synchronized Skating Championship
After the organization of this year's slalom race for men and women, the FIS World Cup „VIP Queen Trophy“, the World Handball Championship and the indoor tennis tournament, PBZ Zagreb Indoors, the capital city of Croatia will host the 10th World Synchronized Skating Championship from April 1st to 5th.
Zagreb will host the World Synchronized Skating Championship from April 1st to 5th. The championship will be held at Dom Sportova, and competing for the title of the best will be 460 skaters from 80 countries, divided into 23 teams.
After hosting the championship in 2004, Zagreb will again be the host of the World Synchronized Skating Championship for the second time. This continues the list of great sporting events that the city has hosted this year. Let us recall that in the first days of January the men's and women's slalom race, FIS World Cup „VIP Queen Trophy“ was organized, and that was immediately followed by the World Handball Championship, and then the indoor ATP tennis tournament, the PBZ Zagreb Indoors.
Zagreb has at its disposal a great number of venues for various types of sporting events and different world competitions, and the city is also an ideal destination for an active holiday. It is enough to mention the sports facilities at Mladost, where competitions in swimming and water polo can be organized, as well as athletic meetings, and at Lake Jarun you can find competitions in rowing, volleyball, handball and basketball... All of these fields and courts are also available for recreational activities, so as a result they are constantly being used throughout the entire year, especially by Zagreb’s many guests who choose to spend their active holidays here.
The honorary sponsor of the 10th World Synchronized Skating Championship is the President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić.
