The events of this year’s Vip Zagreb Jazz Festival are taking place throughout the whole year in celebration of the festival’s 10th anniversary. Audiences at the Zagreb Youth Theatre can expect three music treats in November, featuring performances by top class musicians from the global jazz scene.
On November 15th, the Culture Factory will feature a performance by the electro/industrial band Combichrist, who will be visiting Zagreb for the 4th time in order to promote their latest, 6th studio album, “We Love You”.
In early October, European Coastal Airlines launched commercial flights between the island of Rab and Zagreb, making the Croatian capital the first city in continental Europe that is connected with an island by a seaplane.
On November 8th, one of the numerous events taking place at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall will be a performance by the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Caracas –one of Venezuela’s greatest successes in the struggle against poverty, which is a part of the educational music organization called El Sistema.
As part of the “Taste Of Madness” festival week, between November 18th and 22nd, the Vintage Industrial Bar will be the venue for concerts by the cult British punk rock band GBH, as well as the legendary American hardcore band Madball.
Between January 4th and 6th, Sljeme will once again be host to the Audi FIS World Cup “Vip Snow Queen Trophy” slalom races, marking the 10th jubilee of the event.
The best DJs from Croatia will join forces with some of the most popular international stars and shake up Zagreb in style at the first New Year's Croatia Festival which starts on December 31. All electronic music fans can look forward to two days of serious fun.
From October 4th of this year until January 4th 2015, the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery will be the venue for the exhibition “Normandy/The Birth of Impressionism”, which will feature ninety works by significant artists from Normandy that were created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
