In July 2016, Zagreb and Rijeka will host the European Universities Games, in which more than five thousand student athletes from 350 European universities will be competing.
Come to Bundek between September 25th and October 5th and partake in entertainment, enjoy a diverse offer of food and do a lot more, because the city of Zagreb and its partners, Budapest, Vienna, Ljubljana and Rome, promise to deliver the best edition of the Bundek lakeside festival to date.
Croatian athletic stars Sandra Perković, Blanka Vlašić, Ana Šimić and Stipe Žunić and many other top international athletes will compete at the Mladost Sports Park athletic stadium on September 2nd, during the 64th Boris Hanžeković Memorial.
Once again, puppets will descend upon the streets of Zagreb from September 15th to 20th during the 47th PIF – the International Puppet Theatre Festival. Puppet theatres from Croatia and abroad will perform for children and adults alike.
Between September 19th and 28th, the programmes of the 12th Festival of World Theatre will take place at various locations in Zagreb. Once again this year, the festival will present the most intriguing works by masters of theatre direction.
If you feel like dancing to the rhythms of rock’n’roll or evergreens, come to Zrinjevac where dance evenings take place every Friday until October 4th.
If you come to the 3rd Science Picnic in Zagreb Fair on September 14th you will learn about the world on the edge of the invisible. Take a peek into this fascinating area to be able to understand it better.
An exhibition of works by the great Croatian artist Julije Knifer, whose unconventional approach to painting marked the second half of 20th century art, will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art between September 20th and December 6th.
