The Golden Pirouette of Zagreb 2011 is the oldest and best-known international figure-skating competition that takes place in Croatia. This year, between the 8th and the 11th of December, the top names from the world of figure-skating will once again participate in this competition.

On October 21st, the Zagreb audience will have an opportunity to enjoy yet another music treat at the Arena: a concert by the famous tenor, Placido Domingo, with the backing of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. Tickets for this event will certainly be in high demand. (more)

Between the 11th and the 13th of November, the Trešnjevka Culture Centre will be the venue for PSSST, the 5th Festival of Silent Film. This competition is open to the public and anyone who has the necessary equipment to make a silent film is invited to participate. (more)

The Regent Esplanade Zagreb has been proclaimed best luxury city hotel in the world, and it won the World Luxury Hotel Award 2011. The award was presented to hotel representatives in its Emerald Hall, where the prestigious award ceremony was held in mid- September.

Following the successes of the two previous Restaurant Weeks in Zagreb, this year three-course meals priced at a hundred Kuna will be offered all over Croatia. Zagreb's high category hotels are also joining in as their bars will serve cocktails at promotional prices. (more)

In an array of concerts that will mark this year’s autumn in Zagreb, the British band Human League – which was at the peak of global fame back in the 1980s – will hold a concert on November 12th at Tvornica kulture. (more)

Until October 23rd, the Museum of Arts and Crafts will feature an exhibition, “Architect Ignjat Fischer”. This exhibition is dedicated to the first man to design unique structures in Zagreb as well as the rest of Croatia; his works greatly influenced Croatian architecture of the 20th century.

The legendary rocker with a distinctive voice, Tom Jones, will be holding a concert at the Zagreb Arena on November 21st. The concert is part of his “Praise & Blame” tour, with which he will be promoting his new album of the same name. (more)
