    Newly opened: the Marton Museum

    The new, private Marton Museum opened in mid-March at the baroque Kulmer Palace in the Upper Town. The museum features a diverse collection of items such as porcelain, glass and clocks made by renowned manufactures across Europe during the second half of the 18th and the first half of the 19th centuries.

    The changing of the Cravat Regiment guard at St. Mark’s Square

    Every weekend at noon, St. Mark’s Square in the Upper Town will be the venue for an attractive two-hour ceremony of the changing of the Cravat Regiment guard. Back in the 17th century, the regiment’s soldiers invented the tie, a modern-day masculine adornment popular across the globe.

    An exhibition of Croatian Easter eggs in front of the Cathedral

    Zagreb Tourist Board has teamed up with the Tourist Board of Koprivnica and Križevci County to organize an exhibition of large Croatian Easter eggs. The collection will be exhibited in front of the Zagreb Cathedral from 3rd April to 2nd May.

    Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.
