I was very looking forward to coming to Zagreb, especially because my mother travelled with me. My people found out everything about it, so that we could see the main stuff in the city!

Despite the fact that tourists perceive Zagreb as one of the safest European cities, measures will be put in place to make Zagreb even safer. Following the examples of some other European cities, Zagreb will add a network of 300 cameras to those already operating at the busiest traffic hubs, which will monitor all the thoroughfares and crossroads under the control of the Center for Automatic Traffic Control.
Croatia is the homeland of the tie, a universally recognized and valued symbol of politeness and business efficiency. The Day of the Tie was marked on 18 October. On that day, four years ago, a spectacular event, “Tie”, was staged around the Arena in Pula. The media brought the happening to over a billion people. On Saturday, 29 September, the World Tourism Day was marked by a celebration organized in Zagreb's Zrinjevac Park. Zagreb's citizens and their guests enjoyed the performances of numerous folklore groups and ensembles, rides in old horse-drawn carriages and the tastes of typical Zagreb delicacies.
Last August, Zagreb reaffirmed its position as a town that attracts the interests of an increasing number of tourists. Their numbers were as much as 21 per cent higher than the same month the year before. The results recorded in the first eight months of the year have confirmed: a new city break star has been born!
The tourist area "Across Sutla and Žumberak", to the Northwest of Zagreb, includes numerous tourist attractions. The area is in close proximity to the Croatian capital and thus, it will provide a lot of pleasure to the city guests who chose it for their outing.
Until October 21st , visitors of the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery can familiarize themselves with the great and hitherto unknown cultural wealth of Dalmatian Zagora. Three thousand exhibits are on display at a unique exhibition named "The Dalmatian Zagora - an Unknown Land" which has involved the work of as many as seventy scientists.
To mark the 11th European Bat Night, the Maksimir Park Zoo organized entertainment and educational events to teach children about the need to protect and preserve this endangered species through fun activities and games.
