I was very looking forward to coming to Zagreb, especially because my mother travelled with me. My people found out everything about it, so that we could see the main stuff in the city!

The recognizable touch of simplicity and functionality is the prevalent note at the exhibition taking place at the Arts and Crafts Museum: Scandinavian Design - Beyond the Myth. The exhibition is open to the public from 23 September to 18 November.
At the beginning of September, the Zagreb Electrical Tram celebrated the 116 year anniversary of the opening of the first tram line in Zagreb. The first passengers took a tram ride way back in 1891, and the tram carriages moved on tracks and were pulled by horses.
Bryan Ferry, the musician with a peculiar voice and the singer of the once very popular group Roxy Music, is scheduled to appear again in Zagreb on 11 October. He will hold a concert at the Dražen Petrović Basketball Center.
After the exceptional success of last year's Zagreb International Chamber Music Festival, for this year, the organizers have announced an even more attractive program which will certainly bring enjoyment to all chamber music lovers.
Once again, this October, jazz aficionados will be able to enjoy the enticing sounds produced by domestic and international jazz musicians. Two popular jazz events, featuring numerous artists from Croatia and abroad, will offer rich programs.

As of recently, Zagreb boasts the new Avenue Mall - the largest shopping center in Croatia, featuring some of the most popular fashion brands. The new mall is the most recent addition to the list of large shopping centers and well known 'fashion' streets where you can find a wide range of the most sought after world fashion names.
Once again, the Bread and Pastry Festival is being organized at the Zagreb Fair. More than 40 of the largest and best known bread and pastry producers, and "small" bakeries from Croatia and its neighboring countries, will present their products.
