A floral picture postcard
For a number of years, an event has been turning Zagreb into the largest showcase of a floral picture book in this part of Europe. This spring again, between 30th May and 3rd June, that picture book will demonstrate all of its floral sumptuousness during the 47th Floraart, a large international flower show which will take place at Zagreb's Bundek Lake.

This spring again, between 30th May and 3rd June, that picture book will demonstrate all of its floral sumptuousness during the 47th Floraart, a large international flower show which will take place at Zagreb's Bundek Lake.
Flowers are indeed powerful as proven by the large international flower show Floraart which will take place for the 47th time in Zagreb and again attract several hundred thousand visitors between 30th May and 3rd June. If you like flowers, if you are already a keen gardener or just toying with the idea of becoming one, head to Zagreb this spring. To be more precise, head to Zagreb's Bundek Lake, the home of the biggest flower show in this part of Europe for the last seven years.
Once again, flowers, seedlings, substrates, plant material, decorative plants and different types of machinery and tools for gardening and agriculture, as well as interior decorations, can be seen on a footprint of more than 30 hectares.
Besides the exhibition itself, Floraart also fosters a tradition of competition, which includes the Croatian Florists Cup, an international competition of farming school students. Additionally, every day there are lectures, presentations, creative workshops and plays for children. In this way the very comprehensive exhibition, as colourful as it may be, subtly blends with the landscape of Lake Bundek, its two adjacent lakes, the pleasant promenades, restaurants and cafes, children's playgrounds...
Children stand to benefit more than anybody else from this year's exhibition as the fun-packed event, Spring at Bundek, is currently taking place there. Every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. there are performances by children's choirs; children are amused by various entertainers and there are a number of other musical events. In addition, there is also the big amusement park Charlie which is open to visitors every day except Mondays.
