A New Performance of the Legendary Musical

The new edition of the most performed Croatian musical, “Yalta, Yalta”, will premiere on February 25th at the magnificent Zagreb Arena. The new edition has been modernized and adapted for large stages, while the actors and singers of the “Komedija” theatre are a guarantee for a new success of this legendary musical.

After 38 years, and a total of 534 performances, the legendary Croatian musical, “Yalta, Yalta”, by Alfi Kabiljo and Milan Grgić, will premiere on February 25th at the Zagreb Arena with a new ensemble.

As the most-performed Croatian musical of all time, it was performed by the same, original cast for 23 years; their last performance together was sixteen years ago. “Yalta, Yalta” caused massive audience ovations after every show, and there is no doubt that the new ensemble will make the legendary musical an even greater stage show.

The original version has undergone numerous changes and the musical is now performed by a mostly new generation of actors, although some of the old ones will feature in the new one as well. The new cast consists of Ðani Stipaničev, Renata Sabljak, Mila Elegović, Dražen Čuček, Ronald Žlabur and Sandra Bagarić, while directing duties have once again been taken on by the doyen of Croatian theatre, Vlado Štefančić. Everyone involved is a top-class musician and artist, which is a guarantee for success of this new, old musical.

The project will also have a humanitarian character as part of the proceeds will go to Zagreb’s foundation for assisting people with cerebral-vascular diseases.
