Among the world’s top hotels

The Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, which opened its doors in 1925 to accommodate passengers of the famous Orient Express train, is among the world’s top hotels. This has been confirmed by the prestigious Luxury Hotel Awards it won for being the best city hotel and the best historic luxury hotel.

The Esplanade Zagreb Hotel has recently won two prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards; the best city hotel and the best historic luxury hotel. This was the fourth time that the Esplanade Zagreb received these awards, which are considered the Oscars of the hotel industry.

Moreover, the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel’s excellence has also been recognized by the most prestigious global travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, and not for the first time. The hotel has once again been included on the list of the best hotels which the magazine compiles every year based on the highly regarded Reader’s Choice Award. This time round, there were 70,000 readers’ votes in favour of the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel. The hotel was also once again included on the prestigious list of the best hotels - Expedia Insiders’ Select 2014. For many years it has been number one on TripAdvisor, the largest global online tourism rating system. The Esplanade is the proud bearer of the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence for the quality of accommodation and restaurant offer.

Last but not least, Ivica Krizmanić, the CEO of the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, has recently been accepted as a member of E.H.M.A. – the European Hotel Managers Association, as the first Croatian representative, which is yet another confirmation of the high quality standards of this hotel.
