An international festival of wine and food
A new international festival of wine and food, Zagreb Wine Gourmet Weekend, will take place between the 13th and the 15th of April in the attractive space of the Glyptotheque of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences at Kaptol Centre. Visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy a selection of wines by renowned Croatian and foreign wineries, as well as various exquisite gastronomic delicacies.
Zagreb Wine Gourmet Weekend is a new festival of wine and food which continues the four-year long tradition of the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival. The event will take place between the 13th and the 15th of April at the Glyptotheque of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences at Kaptol Centre.
This event has an international character and is intended for all connoisseurs and aficionados of wine and exquisite gastronomy. Apart from renowned Croatian and foreign wineries, which will be presenting their products to potential partners and the public, the festival will also include an array of specialist lectures from the fields of oenology and gastronomy, exclusive projections of documentary films and evening programmes. Among the numerous experts from abroad, this major oenology and gastronomic event will feature Bernard de Laage de Meux, the director of one of the most popular wineries of Bordeaux, Chateau Palmer; Ivo Jeramez, vice-president of vineyards and winemaking for Grgich Hills Cellar; the editor of Decanter magazine, Sarah Kemp; the president of the Institute of Masters of Wine, Lynn Scherriff, etc. Renowned chefs of exquisite gastronomy from Norway have also announced their arrival, so visitors to the festival can look forward to yet another major oenology and gastronomic event in this part of Europe.
