Crossover Festival Zagreb: Music of Various Genres, Expressions and Music Cultures
In early July, in the very heart of Zagreb in Ribnjak Park, musicians of various genres and artistic expressions will perform for their fans as a part of the international Crossover festival Zagreb.
This year’s Crossover Festival Zagreb, which is to take place from 4 to 7 July in Ribnjak Park in Zagreb, will gather musicians of various cultures and music genres; from world stars to those who are yet to acquire that status with the use of their talent. The festival offers something to cater for all tastes: from jazz, funk, soul, rock to hip hop, gypsy swing and world music. It gathers various performers and their fans in one place.
Israeli multi-instrumentalist Adam Ben Ezra will perform at this year’s Crossover Festival, and will certainly thrill the Zagreb audience with his greatest hits. They earned him a lot of fans both among audience and music critics.
Many other interesting musicians will also perform at the festival. Techno Vikings have been announced among others; they are a Croatian-Italian saxophone quartet accompanied by a jazz drummer. There is also a trio from Zagreb, Sfumato, and a Croatian band Dementronemes. Helado Infinito, a Chilean and Argentinian duo founded in March 2016 by Loreta Neira (Chile) and Victor Borgert (Argentina) will also perform, as well as Fish in Oil from Serbia and an Italian trio with the drums and the saxophone - Brass to House. The festival will end on Sunday with the performance of the Croatian band Porto Morto and with a grand performance of the already mentioned, renowned Adam Ben Ezra.
The festival performances start at 17:00 every day and finish after midnight. In addition to excellent music, the organisers will also provide refreshing beverages and food selection. The entrance to the festival, which is supported by Zagreb Tourist Board, is free of charge.
