On March 24th, Zagreb will be host to Dutch band Epica, currently one of the most popular gothic metal bands in the world. They are holding a concert in the Kornati Hall of Zagreb's Hypo Centre, in a continuation of their European tour, which started last year. The concert is being organized by the Culture Factory (Tvornica kulture).

Epica is a Dutch gothic metal band that often uses elements of opera combined with death metal vocals, which long ago won over fans to become one of the most popular gothic metal bands in the world. The current line-up consists of six members, including: the founder of the band, guitarist and death/scream vocalist, Mark Jansen; Mezzo-soprano vocalist Simone Simons; guitarist Ad Sluijter; bassist Yves Huts; keyboardist Coen Janssen; and drummer Ariën Van Weesenbeek. The band has thus far (with former and current members) released five albums, The Phantom Agony (2003), Consign To Oblivion and The Score – An Epic Journey (both in 2005), The Divine Conspiracy (2007) and, finally, Design Your Universe (in 2009). Despite the great success of their early years dominating the music scene, their latest album, Design Your Universe, is being praised as their most mature album yet. The Croatian audience will have an opportunity to hear live performances of songs from that album, as well as the band's earlier albums, for the first time.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at all Eventim stores, the Culture Factory box-office, via the Daily News of Hypo Centre, the Rockmark bookstore, and online at Muzika.hr. The presale price is 170 Kuna or 200 Kuna on the day of the show.
