Get Clad in Zagreb!

As of recently, Zagreb boasts the new Avenue Mall - the largest shopping center in Croatia, featuring some of the most popular fashion brands. The new mall is the most recent addition to the list of large shopping centers and well known 'fashion' streets where you can find a wide range of the most sought after world fashion names.

In the vicinity of the Zagreb Fair there is another temptation for shopaholics. The Avenue Mall has opened its doors for business as the largest shopping, entertainment and business center in Croatia.

The center spreads across an area of over more than 80,000 square meters. It boasts more than 120 stores, six bars and a total of eight restaurants. Amidst such rich offers, the most alluring are the world famous fashion brands such as Zara, Bershka, Fox, Oltra, Time Out, and the popular German clothing store, Deichmann. The luxurious perfumery, Sephora, stands out in a sea of shops, as do brands like Shoe Be Do, Bata, New Yorker, Benetton, Mango, Calvin Klein, DM and others which have already firmly established themselves on the Croatian marketplace.
Another attractive feature of the newly opened center is a large multiplex cinema with nine screens and a total of 1,800 seats.

Apart from the known brands that have been brought to Croatia for the first time, the Avenue Mall has several other advantages. It is only a ten minute drive from the very city center, is well connected by several bus and tram lines, and the complex itself has a large garage for approximately 1,000 cars.

Large shopping centers in the very center of the city with nicely designed stores that feature local talent as well as international designer brands, all within the small pedestrian zone in the heart of the city, have turned Zagreb into a veritable shopping Mecca.

The hot-spots of the popular shopping zone are certainly the shopping centers in the city center: Kaptol Centar, Importanne Centar, Branimir Centar, Importanne Galeria, and the City Centar Varteks which is located right on the main square.
On the main city square, and in its vicinity, there are numerous clothing stores which carry world renowned designer names, a department store and souvenir shops. Nearby is Dolac, the largest green-market in Zagreb, where, apart from organically grown fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products which titillate taste buds with their rich flavor, one can buy various souvenirs and nature-friendly products that can also be found in nearby stores.
Besides the large shopping centers, Zagreb, like any other metropolis, has its own 'high-street'. Ilica Street is a several kilometer long thoroughfare lined on both sides with numerous stores. This street and its side-streets are certainly a true paradise for shopaholics! For all of those for whom the shopping day is never long enough, we would like to point out that all the shopping centers, as well as the stores in the center of the city, are open from 8 or 9 a.m. until 8 or 9 p.m.
