KAPTOL BOUTIQUE CINEMA –A NEW OASIS FOR FILMOPHILES

The City of Zagreb is better off by one more cinema, the Kaptol Boutique Cinema which many say is the most beautiful cinema in town.

It has five screens and is fitted out with 630 designer seats. There is a 450 m2 lobby with a huge bar and a chandelier that weighs almost two tonnes. There is a giant photograph of Marilyn Monre, and the cinema has the latest laser projectors and a conservatory. The interior of this unique boutique cinema, the first of its kind in Croatia and the newest of the Blitz CineStar cinemas, marries retro and modern styles. Dean Franić and Saša Šekoranja took care of the interior design. The biggest cinema screen has 204 seats and the smallest 56. The smallest two screens are the most exclusive, with armchairs with integral tables designed in classic vintage style. Ticket prices depend on the film and the screen it is shown on, and cost between 22 and 69 kuna. Apart from cinema hits the new cinema also offers smaller commercial titles, themed film reviews and festivals. The lobby is an ideal space for events and concerts. And as well as all this, there is a wisely crafted wine list, great coffee and… gluten-free snacks!
