Martin is in Zagreb

For the 8th year in a row, the Festival of Wine “Martin is in Zagreb” will be held on Petar Preradović Square from November 5th – 9th. This year, about 50 winemakers from Zagreb and its surrounding will present their products and we expect a great number of visitors and lovers of good wine.

In the string of events that take place on the city's squares and street throughout a greater part of the year, it is now time for the Festival of Wine “Martin is in Zagreb” to take its place. From November 5th to 9th, on Petar Preradović Square, about 50 makers of top class, quality wine from Zagreb and its surroundings will present their products at the festival that is taking place for the 8th year in a row.

The idea to organize the festival was born out of the need for winemakers to present their products in one place, but also to present the traditional customs of christening must and thus turning it into wine on the eve of the biggest wine holiday – St. Martin's Day. Besides the growing number of winemakers that this festival attracts every year, there are also a greater number of exhibitors whose business activities are connected with wine or ecological agriculture, from production of cheese and home-made bakery products to a variety of other traditional produce.

The visitors to the Festival of Wine will also enjoy a rich entertainment program, in which a number of cultural-artistic associations will present the traditional customs related to St. Martin's Day in many areas around Zagreb. All of the wine on exhibit at the festival can be tasted and, of course, bought at a special reduced promotional price.
