Morcheeba at Tvornica Kulture
The famous British pop band, Morcheeba, will visit Zagreb for the third time as part of their tour during which they will promote their latest studio album, “Head up High”. They will hold a concert at the Culture Factory (Tvornica Kulture) on December 8th.
On December 8th, the big stage of the Tvornica Kulture will be the venue for a concert by the British pop band Morcheeba. It will be the band’s third performance in the Croatian capital, and on this tour they will promote their latest studio album, “Head up High”. It is the seventh studio album released by this famous British band, which has numerous fans in Zagreb.
Morcheeba was founded in the mid 1990s, when trip-hop was making a breakthrough on the global scene. The band gained popularity with their first album, “Who Can You Trust?”, owing to the remarkable vocal qualities of the lead singer Skye Edwards, and the music of brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey. Morcheeba cemented its popularity on the global music scene when they released their second album, “Big Calm”, which was one of the most popular albums of the decade, and included hits such as “Blindfold”, “Shoulder Holster” and “The Sea”. After the release of the album “Charango” in 2002, lead singer Skye Edwards left the band. The Godfrey brothers hired a number of experienced singers, but they could not find an adequate replacement for Edwards’ unique voice. Fortunately, after an eight year hiatus, Skye Edwards re-joined the band to work on the album “Blood Like Lemonade”. Audiences will have the opportunity to once again hear her unique voice on this tour with which Morcheeba will promote their latest album, “Head up High”.
Morcheeba has held three concerts in Croatia thus far – the first at Zagreb’s Student Centre, the second at the InMusic Festival at Jarun, and the third at Špancirfest in Varaždin. The concert at the Culture Factory will be their fourth concert in Croatia, and the first organized in a club.
Tickets for the Morcheeba concert are already on sale at a price of 130 kuna until September 30th. If you purchase tickets between October 1st and December 7th they will be 150 kuna, while the cost will rise to 170 kuna on the day of the concert. Tickets can also be purchased via Eventim and Entria. The concert is being organized by the Culture Factory.
