Movies at the most romantic summer screenings

Apart from numerous film screenings under a star-studded sky, audiences of this year’s edition of the Gradec Summer Cinema can also expect several new, very interesting programmes aimed at all generations of film buffs.

For the fifth consecutive year, until August 31st, the plateau in Katarina’s Square in the Upper Town will once again be the venue for the Gradec Summer Cinema. Audiences will have the opportunity to view 60 films from 10 countries, and the programme is aimed at all generations. All movies will have English subtitles so they can also be enjoyed by all guests of Zagreb. All film screenings begin at 9 p. m. and, instead of midnight screenings, this year’s novelty is a double screening, which means the films will be shown consecutively without a break. As part of the “My Summer Cinema” programme, visitors can also reserve the cinema for a late Sunday screening and invite friends to watch a film of their choice.

As of this year, a programme titled “Filmbox” will feature screenings of films chosen by the audiences, who can write their suggestions in the Impressions Book.
