New events to complement music

The 8th INmusic Festival will again take place at Jarun Lake. Apart from excellent concerts, the organizers of this largest open air festival in Croatia have some new treats in store for the festival’s audiences.

Zagreb’s INmusic Festival has recently received accolades by portals such as the British Global Grasshopper and American Travel Freak, as well as by one of the most influential political portals - The Huffington Post, which has included it on its list of the ten best festivals in the world. Preparations for this year’s edition of the festival are fully under way. Like the previous years, the festival will take place on the Island of Croatian Youth at Jarun Lake between June 24th and June 26th. The organizers have announced several novelties for this year’s 8th edition of the festival. For the first time this year, the festival will feature theatre plays as part of the INteatar program. They will include the shows “CABAres CABArei” and “Munchhausen” respectively performed by legendary actors Zijah Sokolović and Vilim Matula at the specially constructed theatre arena. In order to provide the audiences with the best possible view of the main stage, a specially designed wooden RockIN horse will be brought to Jarun. Every visitor will have an opportunity to mount it without any problems. That is not all, however… Organizers are also preparing a new program called “Šuma Striborova” (Stribor Forrest), which will be taking place in a mystical forested environment, backed by a DJ performance. There will also be many other new programmes and surprises. Every visitor of the festival will certainly find something for themselves.

Although this year’s exact line-up of performers has not yet been defined, some of the bands which have confirmed their participation in the festival include the British bands the Arctic Monkeys, Editors and Bloc Party, Iggy and the Stooges, the American punk band NOFX, the Italian indie rock band A Toys Orchestra, Mile Me Deaf, Rangleklods, etc.

Tickets for this year’s edition of the INmusic Festival can be purchased at all Tisak Media Centres or ordered online via the Tisak Media web shop for a price of 349 kuna. Tickets are also available online via the Entrio system, links for which can be found on the web page or Facebook profile of the INmusic Festival.
