Opened the first Korean restaurant
There is a novelty on the Zagreb culinary scene: a recently opened Korean restaurant which will spoil you with their choice of Korean dishes, 90 per cent of which are quite spicy.
If you are a foodie or if you simply want to try something new, make sure to visit the first Korean restaurant in Zagreb – Onsemi, located on Knez Mislav Street. The restaurant has been recently opened under the ownership of Koreans who live and work in Zagreb, and the chef is also from South Korea.
The dishes are prepared according to traditional Korean recipes, using only fresh fish and meat, and they consist of several courses with side-dishes included in the price. The ingredients that are difficult to import from Korea, like fresh vegetables and fish, are bought at the Croatian open markets or come from the Adriatic Sea. For the time being, the restaurant’s clients are mostly groups of business people. In addition to the current daily menus, the food offer will soon be expanded to include an open sushi bar and a diverse selection of complementary wines. Although the restaurant management points out that they are not advertising using a hard sell approach, and that currently they do not have any special offers for the local clientele except for the opportunity to taste the spicy Korean food, 90 per cent of which is quite hot and spicy, visitors will still be awarded. If patrons publish photos from the restaurant on their Facebook wall or share them with friends on social media, they will be awarded with a ten percent discount on lunch or dinner as of May 1st.
