The First Croatian Food and Wine Festival

The first Croatian Food and Wine Festival, an event geared toward professionals as well as the general public, will take place between 2nd and 4th March at Arena Zagreb. Besides the exhibition part, where various delicacies and treats will be on offer, there will also be educational and entertainment programmes to accompany the event.

Between 2nd and 4th March, Arena Zagreb will host the first Croatian Food and Wine Festival. The goal is to promote the best of the national cuisine which will be presented by the producers of prosciutto, kulen, cheeses, oils, brandies, wine and other local produce, as well as restaurateurs and hoteliers from all Croatian regions. The festival stalls will be arranged across an area of over five thousand square metres to allow as many visitors as possible to taste the delicacies and the best of Croatian wines on offer.

There will be ongoing cooking shows on two different stages. Workshops will be organized in an area specially adapted for the sale of produce at festival prices, as well as entertainment programmes for the entire family including play activities for children. In a nutshell, visitors can look forward to an event packed with educational and entertainment programmes for professionals and the general public alike. The festival organizers will award the individuals who have made the greatest contribution towards the development of oenological and culinary cultures in Croatia. Moreover, in order to better promote Croatian culinary achievements, the Croatian Food and Wine Festival is in the process of setting up the Young Chef Foundation which will help young talented students who participate in regional and state cooking competitions to undergo specialized education.
