The Largest Scholarship Fair in Croatia

Just as previous years, this year's scholarship fair in Croatia drew a great number of visitors. For the next six months, they will be able to find out all the relevant information regarding scholarships granted by Croatian and foreign institutions in one place on-line.

At the end of October, the 4th scholarship fair in Croatia was held at the National and University Library. The organizer of the fair was the Institute for the Development of Education. The fair is the only event of state-wide significance that aims to improve access to scholarships for higher education. Just as previous years, this year's fair attracted a few thousand visitors. They were presented with more than 75 scholarships and other forms of financial support that are offered to the citizens of Croatia for higher education in Croatia and abroad. 

The scholarship opportunities were presented by 35 reputable institutions from Croatia and abroad, from higher learning institutions, companies, foreign embassies, cultural centers, to foundations, agencies and non-governmental organizations. Aside from the presenters' stands where visitors could obtain all the information about scholarships, an additional program was organized which included presentations by the institutions on all the conditions which need to be met by scholarship applicants.  Because of the great interest shown in this event, an official internet site, www.stipendije.info, has been set up to provide information to the visitors about the possibilities available to them for scholarship study in Croatia and abroad. The website will be active until May 1, 2009.
