The Naj, naj, naj Festival – Children’s Theatre for the Best Audience
The Naj, naj, naj Festival brings the youngest audiences the best children’s theatre performances over the Easter holidays.
This Easter once again we’ll be flocking to the Žar ptica City Theatre to the Naj, Naj, Naj Festival, which brings younger audiences the best productions from professional children’s theatre groups in Croatia and abroad. All performances at this festival, which this year celebrates its 18th birthday, are free of charge. More than 5000 visitors are expected. The festival has a competition programme, with an expert panel of judges composed of theatre critics who select and present Golden Firebird trophies to the best performances in ten categories.
The festival will be opened by the Žar ptica City Theatre with the performance “Đurica – male ljubavi”. The play “Bijeli jelen” comes from Osijek. The Boško Buha Theatre from Belgrade presents “Pepeljuga”. A co-production between the Pinklec Theatre Company from Čakovec and LOFT is titled “S razlogom”. The Pinklec Theatre Company also brings us the play “Preko sedam mora” which talks about the current and painful subject of children in the recent migrant crisis. The Trešnja City Theatre presents the play “Zora riđokosa”. A co-production between the Kristalna točka Cultural Centre from Sisak and Zorin dom from Karlovac brings us the play “Tko nema u vugla, googla”.
With the play “Pinocchio” the Roseland Musical Theatre from Barcelona brings us a Pinocchio for the 21st century. The St Petersburg State Children’s Theatre presents the play “The Canterville Ghost”. Also from abroad the play “The Boat and the Moon” comes from Teatro La Baracca-Testoni Ragazzi in Bologna. There is also “Alice in Wonderland” from Zagrebačko kazalište mladih. The play “Nevidljiva is a co-production of Kazalište Virovitica and Kazalište lutaka Zadar”. Kazalište Prijatelj comes to the festival with the play “Priča o Bogici ili nije sramota biti siromašan”.
