On March 11th, the club Aquarius at Zagreb’s Jarun Lake will be the venue for a concert by the alternative American band Wilco, one of the most influential bands of the alternative and indie rock scene. They will be performing in Croatia for the first time.

The band will be presenting songs for the Zagreb audience from their new album, “The Whole Love”, which has received accolades from critics and audiences alike. With this album, Wilco has returned to innovative solutions and their original blend of various music genres such as rock, pop, country, folk, etc.

The band was formed in 1994 in Chicago by the remaining members of Uncle Tupelo, a cult alt-country band which had broken up after the departure of its singer Jay Ferrara. However, since it was founded, the band often changed its line-up, so the only remaining members from the original band are singer, guitarist and band-leader Jeff Tweedy, and bassist John Stirratt.

Wilco has thus far released seven studio albums, a double live album, and three collaboration albums. Although they won over the critics with their debut album “A.M.”, released in 1995, they gained wide audience popularity after the release of their excellent album “Yankee Foxtrot Club” in 2002.
