Winter at Kvatrić

Once again this year, the Kvaternik square will be the venue for a large cultural and entertainment program: “Winter at Kvatrić”. It will be held throughout November, December and January, and will be tied to St. Martin’s Day, St. Nicholas’ Day, the Advent, and the New Year.

Under the name “Winter at Kvatrić”, the Centre for Cultural Activity will be organizing various cultural events throughout November, December and January.

The Kvaternik square is one of the busiest squares in Zagreb as it is a crossroad of three city boroughs: Maksimir and Lower and Upper Town. Moreover, the popular Kvatrić is frequented by numerous citizens of Zagreb who pass through the square by busses arriving from the southeast part of the city.


All events that will ensue throughout the upcoming three months are intended for citizens and guests of Zagreb alike. Daily programmes will take place within a heated tent, starting at noon, and they will be tied to St. Martin’s Day, St. Nicholas’ Day, the Advent, and the New Year.

Numerous cultural and artistic associations from Zagreb and its vicinity, as well as other regions and counties of Croatia, will present themselves during the event; there will also be tradesmen offering various indigenous products and souvenirs. Furthermore, there will also be various entertainment and educational programmes .


This year’s cultural and entertainment event, “Winter at Kvatrić”, will begin on November 11th, St. Martin’s Day, and will feature wine-tasting and an applicable program.
