Zola Jesus once again at Tvornica Kulture

On March 20th, Tvornica Kulture (Culture Factory) will once again be the venue for a performance by Zola Jesus, one of the most talented musicians on the global indie scene, who will be promoting her latest album - Taiga.

The indie heroine, Zola Jesus, is scheduled to return to the Culture Factory, where she will hold a concert on March 20th. The talented musician, who skilfully mashes electronic music with indie, goth and pop influences, gained attention with her 2009 debut album, The Spoils. In the same year, she released two EP’s - Tsar Bomba and New Amsterdam, whilst working intensely on tours. Later on, she released several other successful works. Her latest album, Taiga, was released in October of last year, and she is currently promoting it on a tour of the United States and Canada before she moves on to Europe.

Whilst working on the album, Zola Jesus, whose given name is Nika Roza Danilova, retreated to the wilderness on Vashon Island near Washington, in order to connect with nature. Due to her Russian heritage, taiga had a great influence on her. Therefore, unlike her earlier works in which she used rhythms and synthesizers, the songs on this album were recorded a cappella. Her forte is her classic vocal training, which certainly helped her greatly in achieving success.

Tickets for the Zola Jesus concert can be purchased via Entrio and Eventim at a price of 70 kuna. On the day of the concert, ticket prices will be increased to 90 kuna.
