Once again, this year’s edition of the Human Rights Film Festival deals with socially engaging topics and screens works from recent global production. The audiences will have the opportunity to see them between December 5th and 11th at the Europa Cinema and the Multimedia Centre of the Student Centre.
A diverse programme, with an array of novelties, has once again been prepared for this year’s Advent in Zagreb, which gained Croatia’s capital the status of the best Christmas destination in Europe last year. It has been announced that this year’s event will be even more magical.
For the first time ever, Zagreb will host the premiere international team event in men’s tennis, in which the Croatian Davis Cup team will be competing for the title in front of a home crowd, facing Argentina in the final for the second time in its history.
On January 25th and 26th 2017, Arena Zagreb will be the venue for a performance by the Moscow Circus on Ice. A spectacular show packed with dynamic and dizzying circus acts will reveal the magic of human movement that verges on the impossible.
For the eighth year in a row, many of Zagreb’s theatres will partake in the European Theatre Night on November 19th, when they will put on free shows for their audiences. So, make sure to be quick enough and get tickets for some of the plays you want to see.
On November 29th, the Culture Factory will be the venue for a concert by the Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth, who are famous for their really spectacular performances. The concert is organised as part of their “Jomsviking European Tour”, in which they will promote their latest studio album.
Between November 8th and 13th, the Zagreb Fair will be the venue for the 39th edition of Interliber, the International Book and Teaching Appliances Fair. Apart from the largest offer of books in one place, visitors can also look forward to some interesting novelties this year.
According to professionals from the tourism sector, the Old Zagreb Tour is the winner of the prestigious Luxury Travel Guide Award thanks to the attractive tour of the old part of Zagreb in a replica of a 1905 Ford T Model.
Ich freue mich auf Zagreb als den Ort, an dem ich mich immer wohl fühle und habe den Eindruck, als ob zu viel Zeit vom letzten Besuch vergangen wäre, obwohl er nur etwas mehr als ein Jahr zurückliegt.

Ich habe mich ganz besonders auf Zagreb gefreut, vor allem, weil meine Mutter mit mir reiste. Meine Leute haben vorher alles genau erforscht, damit wir es schaffen, die wichtigsten Sachen in der Stadt zu sehen!

Es tut mir leid, dass ich nicht länger bleiben und ein wenig mehr von der Stadt sehen konnte, aber Jarun mit dem See und den Nachtclubs hat mich begeistert. Es hat alles was man für eine gute Party braucht.

Der Konzertsaal Lisinski hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war ein ganz besonderes Gefühl dort aufzutreten, weil die Menschen aufmerksam zugehört und die Musik mit ihren Herzen gefühlt haben. Lisinski ist ein wunderschöner Konzertsaal und ich fühle mich geehrt, dass ich dort auftreten darf. Mein erster Auftritt im Lisinski ist mir in sehr schöner Erinnerung geblieben.
