More than 300 tourism films are in competition to win prizes at the 3rd Zagreb Tourfilm Festival, which is an interesting review of such works from all over the globe, but also an opportunity to discuss the past, present and future of tourism film.

Year after year, Zagreb has been affirming itself as an excellent congress destination, which is confirmed by the huge 55-rank-leap on the ICCA list in just a year.

Preparations for the never better, never bigger INmusic Festival are in the final stages. Between June 23rd and 25th the Island of Croatian Youth at Zagreb’s Jarun Lake will be the venue for live performances by numerous stars from the global and regional music scenes.

Between July 16th and 20th, stages in Ban Josip Jelačić Square and Gradec will be venues for performances by numerous folklore ensembles from Croatia and abroad as part of this year’s 48th International Folklore Review which is dedicated to the folklore tradition of Međimurje.

The oldest street festival in Zagreb, Cest is d’Best, will celebrate its 18th birthday this year. To mark this occasion, between June 5th and 11th, more than 500 artists from a dozen countries will participate in various events at numerous locations throughout the city.

Once again Summer at Stross will span one hundred summer days, featuring loads of entertainment and diverse programmes along Strossmayer Promenade, just beneath the Lotršćak Tower in the Upper Town. Everyone is invited to attend Summer at Stross, taking place until September 15th.

The 33rd edition of Zagreb Summer Evenings, a traditional open-air classical music event, will take place between June 27th and July 14th in Grič. It will feature performances by top class Croatian as well as foreign musicians.

On October 14th, the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall will be the venue for the first Croatian concert by the popular Italian soul and jazz musician Mario Biondi, who will promote his latest album, “SUN”, as part of his solo tour.
