I am sorry that I have not had the opportunity to stay longer and see a little more, but the Jarun Lake and clubs impressed me, has all the elements of good entertainment.

With the recently opened venues, Sirup and Shamballa, Zagreb has gained two more places where clubbers can have a good time . In a very short time both have achieved the status of hot nightlife spots.
The exhibit, Carnival – King of Europe, will be open to the audiences until February 25th at the Ethnographic Museum. The exhibit was first shown in Trentino's Ethnographic Museum (Museum of Uses and Customs of the Trentino People) in San Michele all'Adige and is a joint project between museums in Zagreb, Marseille, Skopje and Sofia.
In a ceremony held in Zagreb in mid-January, the great Croatian actors, Lela Margetić and Pero Kvrgić, were handed a plaque by the Guinness Book of World Records for the cult performance “Exercises in Style”. It was declared the longest running theater performance in the world that still stars the same cast. This show has been on the stage in Croatia for 41 years.
The same as the year before, Zagreb did it again in 2008 and surpassed the one million mark in the number of overnights, which were mostly realized by foreign tourist. The number of business gatherings held in the city last year was also almost twice as many as in 2007, however, with a fewer number of participants because Zagreb lacks the capacity to organize large congresses.
The charismatic musician and former frontman of the rock group “The Police” will hold a concert on February 11th at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. The audience in Zagreb will hear the singer go classical and perform music from the renaissance period together with the Bosnian lute player Edin Karamazov.
About 120 documentaries from around the world will be shown at the fifth jubilee of ZagrebDox, the region's biggest international festival of documentary films. This will take place from February 23rd to March 1st at the Student Center.
The Museum of Arts and Crafts will be host to the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival on March 27th and 28th. Participants will be able to sample about 500 premium and select wines from around the world. The festival also includes a rich program of culinary presentations and workshops.
The Carnival festivities in Zagreb County will include the biggest such event in the region, the Samobor Fašnik, which is expected to attract 200,000 guests this year. In addition, the 100th jubilee anniversary of the Turopolje Fašnik will be celebrated in Velika Gorica.
