Until September 4th, the popular Strossmayer promenade in the Upper Town will feature free daily performances by various bands as part of the “Summer at Stross” – the longest standing cultural and tourist event in Zagreb.
Visitors at Bundek Lake can now also enjoy films under the stars; every weekend until the end of August, three films will be projected on three different open-air screens. This event also features “silent” parties at a Silent Discotheque.
Due to great interest amongst visitors from all over Croatia as well as abroad, the exhibition “Art Deco and Art in Croatia Between the Two Wars” at the Museum of Arts and Crafts has been extended until the end of August.
According to info from the International Ski Federation (FIS), the men’s slalom race on Sljeme was the most-watched ski race of the last season, seen live by 12.5 million viewers. The female slalom race on Sljeme also ranked high as the second most-watched female ski race.
In remembrance of thousands of kumice, women who over the centuries have been selling their fresh fruits and vegetables at Zagreb’s famous Dolac Market, the Zagreb Tourist Board and the City Office for Agriculture have launched a project “Kumice of Dolac”, which will be taking place until October 29th.
This year the Amadeo Stage has once again prepared a diverse me of theatre and concerts, which will be taking place every day in the attractive atrium of the Croatian Natural History Museum in the Upper Town until September.
During this year’s Zagreb Summer Evenings, marking its 30th jubilee, the atrium of the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery and Gradec Stage will feature performances by numerous top-class musicians from Croatia as well as abroad.
Until August 21st, the Museum of Contemporary Art will feature the exhibition, “Across the Line”, which consists of more than 400 works by Ivan Kožarić. As one of the country’s most significant artists, Ivan Kožarić has strongly influenced numerous generations of Croatian artists.
