Once again this Advent season, Zagreb will shine in a new light. Aside from festive decorations, the streets and squares of the city centre will feature various entertainment programmes and events that will certainly attract numerous citizens of the Croatian capital as well as their guests.

Between the 4th and the 6th of January, Sljeme Mountain will be the venue for the Vip Snow Queen Trophy slalom races of the World Ski Championship for men and women, which will bring together the best skiers in the world for the seventh year in a row.

The Nutcracker, one of the favourite shows among ballet aficionados, was first performed in Zagreb in 1931. As of early November, Zagreb and Paris have been connected four times a week by direct easyJet flights, which will also connect the Croatian capital with London as of February 11th of next year.

Until December 12th, visitors of the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery can view a representative exhibition: “Ancient Greeks on Croatian soil”. The Murtić Donation, a large exhibition featuring more than 1500 works by the great Croatian modern art painter of the 20th century, Edo Murtić, will open in the beginning of December at the Museum of Contemporary Art. According to the wishes of this great artist with a unique personality, his family donated these works to the city after his death.
