The two digit growth rate in the number of visitors is a good indicator of the vigorous tourist activity in Zagreb. Its urban decor, the richness of events and the ongoing dynamic changes show that tourist ambitions do not stop there. Irrespective of their arrival motifs, the guests are overwhelmed by the city's atmosphere and its offerings. Ivo Jelušić, President of the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb and Deputy Mayor of Zagreb shares his views.

Just like during the previous years, only more varied and eventful than ever, holiday festivities will take place in the city center of Zagreb throughout the period of Advent.

One of the tourist attractions of Zagreb is the little train, Bubi. It usually takes tourists on sightseeing tours around the city center. In the month of December, however, it will be driving children free of charge, thanks to the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb. Once again, a good time and a lot of sweets will be had by all.

Zagreb has followed the lead of a number of other global tourist destinations. It has recently created its own tourist adventure game under the name – Decode Zagreb.

Until 2 February, the Glyptotheque - sculpture museum of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, will be the venue of an interesting French design show. The exhibition was opened in mid-November as a joint venture between the officials of the French Institute in Zagreb and the Glyptotheque staff.

The renovated Croatian Culture Club, the Chez Dragec restaurant at the Arts and Crafts Museum, has recently had a gala opening.

The 6th Short Movie Marathon is to take place between 13 and 16 December as part of the Fourth Culture Fair at the Students’ Center. All in possession of a digital camera or a PC with editing capabilities are invited to participate.

In addition to paying for car parking via SMS text, as of recently, passengers riding on Zagreb’s trams and buses can purchase their tickets via mobile phone.
