For the first time in this part of Europe, pieces of one of the most significant sculptors of the 20th century, Alexander Calder, will be displayed in the Art Pavilion in Zagreb from late September all the way to early January.
An interesting program will take place until early September on Strossmayer Promenade, the most romantic spot in the city, offering a lot of fun, joy and a great time. The Upper Town will become a lively and romantic summer stage and a place for interesting encounters.
In mid-June many surprises in a form of a light show will colour the sky above Zagreb with special shades and light effects; all as a part of the 19th International Fireworks Festival, a unique manifestation in this part of Europe. Many other surprises await visitors of the event as well.
From 17 to 21 July, when the 53rd International Folklore Festival will take place, Zagreb will be marked by genuine folklore of Croatia and other countries.
The 28th anniversary of the establishment of the Croatian Armed Forces and of the Croatian Army Day will be marked with a ceremonial programme in the centre of Zagreb and around the Jarun Lake Recreational Area on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 2019.
The third edition of the #WELOVESOUND OPEN AIR ZAGREB festival, to be held on 1 June next to the Big lake of Jarun, will host some of the most famous DJs and techno & house musicians. Fun is guaranteed.

The 18th Festival of Equal Opportunities, an international manifestation, will take place in the centre of Zagreb from 21 to 23 May. With various events it promotes creativity and opportunities for persons with disability as equal members of society.
