25th Zagreb Summer Evenings Festival

Some thirty music performances, including concerts of classical music, jazz, fado, flamenco and traditional music from various countries, will be taking place throughout July, as part of the 25th Zagreb Summer Evenings Festival.

The beautiful ambiance of the Upper Town, Gradec Square, the atrium of the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery, as well as the Renaissance hall of the National Home palace and the Amadeo stage, will provide venues for the 25th Zagreb Summer Evenings, which will be taking place throughout the entire month of July.

Some thirty musical performances are featured in this year’s program, which includes concerts of classical and jazz music, evenings of fado and flamenco, as well as presentations of traditional music from various countries, such as Norway, Iceland, Cuba and parts of Latin America. This year’s Zagreb Summer Evenings offers something for everyone and caters not only to the aficionados of classical tunes but also to a wider audience, who will certainly benefit from the opportunity to hear traditional music from different parts of the world.

Like in the previous years, many top-class performers will participate at this year’s Zagreb Summer Evenings, including pianists Katarina and Vladimir Krpan, the Croatian Chamber Orchestra, the Wiener Tschuschenkapelle, and famous American folk / protest singer Joan Baez. After the spectacular June 13th appearance by legendary Bob Dylan at the Radar Festival in Varaždin, Joan Baez’s performance at the Zagreb Summer Evenings is considered to be yet another musical treat. Some of the other performers are the Sambuca Ensemble, the Zagreb Blues Night, the Dominant string quartet, and many other artists from Croatia and abroad.

The organizer of the Zagreb Summer Evenings Festival, which has been held regularly since 1982, is the Zagreb Concert Management.
