A hundred films in ten programmes
As part of the 11th Zagreb Film Festival, audiences will have the opportunity to view one hundred of the most interesting debut films from around the world. The films will be screened in ten programmes at various locations around town between October 20th and 27th.
Once again, the Zagreb Film Festival has prepared a diverse programme of one hundred of the latest and most interesting debut films from around the world, which will be screened in ten programmes at several locations around town. This year's 11th edition of the festival will take place between October 20th and 27th at cinemas Europa and Tuškanac, and at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The films will also be screened for audiences at the Zagreb Dance Centre, as well as the Zagreb Puppet Theatre.
As in previous years, the main programme will showcase feature length and short films as well as documentaries, including the new film "Still Life" by famous director Umberto Pasolini, whose debut, "Machan", was screened at the 2007 festival. The documentary programme will feature 12 films, including the shocking film "The Kill team" by director Dan Krauss, who was nominated for an Oscar for his film "The Death of Kevin Carter".
The "My First Film" programme will feature five films by great Polish filmmakers, including Krzysztof Kieœlowski, Andrzej Wajda and Roman Polanski, while the youngest audience members will have the opportunity to enjoy films screened as part of the Biblijada children’s programme.
The Great 5 programme will feature films from Spain, France, Italy, Germany and Great Britain, but audiences can also expect some novelties. The Zagreb Film Festival also features a concurrent educational programme and other events.
