A Hundred Top Works of Croatian Art
Until the end of January, the visitors of the Art Pavilion can see the exhibition “A Hundred Top Works of Croatian Art, 1850-1950” from the Belgrade National Museum collection. The works on display are mostly unknown to the Croatian general public.
Until the end of January, the Art Pavilion is the venue of the exhibition “A Hundred Top Works of Croatian Art, 1850-1950” which shows works by the great names of Croatian art that are part of the Belgrade National Museum holdings. Most of these works are unknown to the Croatian general public. The exhibition presents the paintings and sculptures of some thirty Croatian artists, including Karas, Bukovac, Medović, Crnčić, Kraljević, Račić, Becić, Krizman, Vidović, Rački, Junek, Herman, Iveković, Job, Tartaglia, Gecan, Uzelac, Trepše, Režek, Meštrović, Augustinčić, Kršinić, etc. These are mostly anthological masterpieces, which are of major significance for the work of each particular artist. They have been systematically purchased and thus have become an integral part of the Belgrade National Museum holdings.
