A Pleasure for the Eyes and Taste Buds

Once again, the Bread and Pastry Festival is being organized at the Zagreb Fair. More than 40 of the largest and best known bread and pastry producers, and "small" bakeries from Croatia and its neighboring countries, will present their products.

Another traditional autumn event is again taking place this year. On the 5th and 6th of October 2007, the 3rd annual Bread and Pastry Festival will be held under the auspices of Zagreb authorities and the Tourism Board of the City of Zagreb, and in the organization of the Richemont Club - an international association of bakers and pastry chefs. Interested citizens and city guests should make their way to Pavilion 15 at the Zagreb Fair, where some 40 exhibitors, among them the largest and best known bread and pastry makers, as well as "small" businesses from all over Croatia and its neighboring countries, are expected to present their products.

Along with the numerous bakery and pastry delicacies, which will certainly not be in short supply, the visitors may be equally tempted by an attractive and rich raffle. The winning raffle ticket will reward the luckiest bread and pastry lover with a Renault Clio, donated by the main festival sponsor - The Baotić Auto Shop.

Since this year's General Meeting of the Richemont Club is taking place in Croatia, the Festival will be visited by some 100 distinguished baking industry experts from all over Europe.

Along with the traditional "live production", the competition "Golden Hands", and the new music performers, there is another new addition to the festival program. Pizza acrobats will be entertaining the visitors with their dough and pastry performances. The Bread and Pastry Festival has established itself as the largest and most successful display of the Croatian bakery industry's achievements. Due to the joint efforts of the organizers and the exhibitors, we can expect an even more interesting festival this year.
