An exhibition to celebrate 55 years of the Mini

Until May 20th, the Ferdinand Budicki Automobile Museum will feature its third themed exhibition, organized to celebrate 55 years of a cult classic car – the beloved Mini.

Until May 20th, the Ferdinand Budicki Automobile Museum will feature its third themed exhibition, organized to celebrate 55 years of the Mini. These themed exhibitions cover the phenomenon of the most influential cars in the history of the automotive industry, and now the museum’s visitors have the opportunity to learn about the creation and development of the legendary Mini. The exhibition features five vehicles, including the oldest car in Croatia, dating from 1964. The newest car on display was built in 2000, and the exhibition also includes an off-road version of the Mini, the car belonging to the Croatian singer-songwriter Arsen Dedić, as well as a custom-made model.

Apart from the actual cars, visitors of the exhibition can also enjoy original photographs taken between 1960 and 1990 during various events, including the Monte Carlo Rally and worldwide gatherings of owners and fans of a cult classic car - the Mini. The museum’s cinema will feature daily screenings of a 50 minute long documentary film about the history of the Mini, while the exhibition also features corresponding literature, memorabilia, models in various scales, artefacts and Mini-themed toys. Apart from the exhibition, every Saturday, starting at 11 a.m., visitors can attend lectures on various topics regarding the Mini, a mechanics workshop, and also enjoy rides in the cars, which will really make the whole experience of the exhibition complete.

The organizers of the exhibition are the Ferdinand Budicki Automobile Museum and the Mini Club Zagreb, which is also organizing a Mini parade through the city centre on April 12th.
