Attend the 2nd Pedalafest

All fans of cycling, and cycling wannabes, can look forward to a diverse and entertaining programme at the 2nd Pedalafest. Cycle to the Student Centre between the 5th and 7th of June, and enjoy events at this festival for cyclists.

Between June 5th and 7th, the Student Centre will be the venue for the 2nd Pedalafest cycling festival. Apart from advocating better cycling conditions, and using bicycles as an effective and sustainable mode of transportation with health benefits, the festival also deals with much broader issues, such as cities of the future, green technologies, cycling start-up companies, mobile applications, social entrepreneurship, etc. After last year’s success, visitors of this year’s 2nd Pedalafest can expect a diverse program, including lectures by Croatian and foreign experts, workshops, fairs, concerts, exhibitions, film projections and performances.

The organizer of Pedalafest is the Cyclists’ Syndicate, the most active Croatian cyclists’ association which is responsible for various activities that promote bicycles as a form of personal transport, especially in larger cities. Before the festival, fans of cycling were invited to make a short film on the theme “a bicycle for everyone”, using their cameras or phones. The author of the best film will receive an award at the Pedalafest. The prize, of course, will be a bicycle!
