Discover the invisible world!

If you come to the 3rd Science Picnic in Zagreb Fair on September 14th you will learn about the world on the edge of the invisible. Take a peek into this fascinating area to be able to understand it better.

Science resides in Zagreb – this has been known for a long time. And science very often studies the world on the edge of the invisible. This is precisely the theme of the 3rd Science Picnic: The Invisible World (Fear of the Unknown), which will take place on September 14th in Zagreb Fair and is expected to attract about 40 thousand visitors.

The Science Picnic has been conceived as a place of informal encounters with science. Already during its first edition it became obvious that events of this kind were necessary and therefore had a bright future. Since day one, the educational and popular approach to science and presentations prepared by numerous Croatian and foreign teachers and promoters of science and art have aroused great interest among the public of all ages, although the primary objective of the entire event is to promote science among younger generations. The value of this project has been recognized by ERRIN (European Regions Research and Innovation Network).

All natural and legal persons can partake in the Science Picnic programmes. All they need is a strong will, a lot of imagination and creativity, and last but certainly not least, enough patience to answer many questions.

The organizer of this interesting, informal and entertaining scientific gathering themed around the edge of the invisible world which inspires awe and fear at the same time is the Network of Science Promoters. Come and confront this fascinating world, which examines the role of science in the micro and macro universe. The message from the organizers is the following quote from the Nobel Prize winner Maria Sklodowska – Curie: “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less”.
