FIS - Vip Snow Queen Trophy is a top alpine skiing event!

Preparations for the Vip Snow Queen Trophy at Sljeme were assessed as successful by members of the International Ski Federation, so the world’s most elite competitive skiers can certainly expect another attractive and challenging competition in Zagreb on January 3rd and 6th 2016.

A FIS World Cup delegation visited Zagreb in mid-July in order to check the preparation process for next year’s Vip Snow Queen Trophy race, scheduled to take place on January 3^rd and 6^th 2016 in Zagreb.

Members of the FIS delegation were very pleased with what they saw, and they praised the Organization Committee of the Vip Snow Queen Trophy slalom race. They pointed out that the races on Sljeme are a top alpine skiing event, and that they had become essential World Cup classics.

This is confirmed by the fact that Zagreb has become a member of the Club 5 Ski Classics – a union of the leading alpine ski race organizers, and that the slalom race in Zagreb has been included on the FIS World Cup programme for every season until 2019, i.e. the year with which the current calendar ends.

In 2015, the Vip Snow Queen Trophy races were followed live by more than 24 million television viewers worldwide.
