Girls, attention! Hurts are coming!

Among the numerous world music stars who will be visiting Zagreb this autumn, we would like to present yet another treat: British synthpop duo, Hurts, will be performing in Zagreb on October 23rd. This will be the first time that this band, which various global media refer to as the “band for girls”, is performing in Croatia’s capital. (more)

This autumn, on October 23rd, Zagreb will be host to the increasingly popular British synthpop duo, Hurts, who will be presenting their debut album “Happiness” on the stage of Zagreb’s Boćarski Dom. Hurts are a young band that has existed for about two years but, with wholehearted help from the British media – and before the release of their debut album, which they will be presenting in Zagreb – they have gained enviable international popularity.

The duo, which consists of Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson, will perform in Zagreb with their supporting band. Those who have not yet had an opportunity to hear their music should know that the band plays so-called soft music, very reminiscent of the 1980s style of the Pet Shop Boys mixed with Duran Duran, and contemporary Coldplay. Apart from that, according to the critics, songs from their debut album are reminiscent of some popular songs by the New Kids on the Block, The Killers, and Scissor Sisters. This is why the global media have labelled them a “typical band for girls”, which is indeed confirmed by the large percentage of female audiences who attend their concerts. However, despite this, the band has quickly risen above countless other newly-formed bands and gained international fame during the short period of its existence.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at a price of 260 Kuna at all Eventim box-offices, as well as online at Muzika.hr, and at the Rockmark music-specific bookstore in Zagreb.
