Happenings in the city center

Apart from the excellent cultural program and entertainment line-up that will be taking place on two stages in the city’s main square, the citizens and many visitors, who traditionally spend their time on the streets of Zagreb during the Advent season, will have an opportunity to enjoy various other happenings in the city center.

Throughout December, numerous happenings will take place on two stages in Zagreb’s main square, one of which will be in a large heated tent. The program will include various dance and music shows suitable for all generations; there will be tunes to which you will wish to dance the night away with family and friends, as well as Zagreb’s guests.

Apart from the excellent cultural program and entertainment line-up, there will be entertainment for children with various themes, as well as Advent themed evenings. Restaurateurs are as well prepared for the holiday season as ever. This year, however, the holiday staples will be complimented by some very popular original delicacies, including the famous štrukle (cheese filled pastry). There will also be presentations and tastings of various other kinds of authentic, Croatian foods, for example the renowned Dalmatian prosciutto and Slavonian kulen (a spicy dry-cured sausage). All of the presentations will be accompanied by cultural events and performances by folklore groups from all over Croatia.

Apart from the excellent outdoor program on the main city square, Zagreb’s citizens and their guests who traditionally spend the Advent season in Zagreb will be able to enjoy numerous concerts, theater performances, exhibitions and various other kinds of festive happenings and events tied to the merriment of the most joyous month of the year.
