On October 14th, the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall will be the venue for a concert by Mario Biondi, one of the greatest male vocals of the global soul and jazz scene. The Italian singer, with a deep and sensual voice, will hold his first concert in Croatia as part of a solo tour during which he will perform songs from his latest album, “SUN”, released last year.

Mario Biondi started his music career thirty years ago, as backup vocal to numerous well regarded musicians, including Ray Charles. In 2006, he released his first album, “A Handful of Souls”, which went platinum, while his second studio album, “If”, released three years later, also had great commercial success. That album was announced with the radio single “Be Lonely”, which remained a hit on Italian radio stations for months to come. In cooperation with American singer, songwriter and composer, Burt Bacharach, and Jean Paul Bluey of the British band Incognito, he wrote the hit songs “Something That Was Beautiful” and “No Mo’ Trouble”. In 2011, he released his third studio album, “Due”, while his latest album, “SUN”, was released last year. He has also recorded two live albums.

Tickets for the concert by this musician, referred to by many as the Italian Barry White, can be purchased online via www.ulaznice.hr, at prices ranging between 190 and 260 kuna.
