Michelin in Zagreb: Noel – the First Restaurant in Zagreb with the Prestigious Star!

Noel is the first restaurant in Zagreb to win the prestigious Michelin star, which is a great recognition for this cult venue, but also for the gastro scene of Zagreb and Croatia. Congratulations!

The prestigious guide provided arguments for awarding the Michelin star to the Zagreb restaurant Noel by mentioning its creative, exciting and high quality cuisine, quality ingredients, recognizable tastes, high and continued standard of cuisine and excellent wine list. Michelin also recommends the restaurant due to its modern and pleasant interior.

The first restaurant in Zagreb to win the prestigious Michelin star, Noel, had its premiere on the city's gastronomic scene in 2016 with a recognizable signature of  top two experts – chef Goran Kočiš and sommelier Ivan Jug. By opening Noel this creative duo confirmed their vision of a sophisticated fine dining offer complemented with the selection of top Croatian, French and Italian wines and contemporary and pleasant interior, which is recognised by numerous guests and now rewarded with a Michelin star.

In addition to Noel, for the first time a Michelin star was awarded to a restaurant in Lovran, Draga di Lovrana, while the restaurants Pelegrini from Šibenik, 360º from Dubrovnik and Monte from Rovinj kept their stars. Also now there is a total of eight restaurants with the Bib Gourmand label on the Michelin list, which is double the number in comparison to the previous year, while the total of 51 Croatian restaurants have the Michelin Plate label this year.

The Zagreb Tourist Board congratulates the owners and staff of Noel as well as all the winners from Croatia. We are pleased with the fact that Zagreb has confirmed its position of a prestigious gourmet destination and became one of the cities whose gastro offer is confirmed with renowned Michelin stars.
