Morrissey at the Zagreb Fair

As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the INmusic Festival, which is scheduled to take place between June 22nd and 24th 2015 at Jarun Lake, the British musician – Morrissey, whose concert marked the first edition of this popular festival, will perform at the Zagreb Fair on December 12th.

On December 12th, the Zagreb Fair will be the venue for a concert by Morrissey, to mark the beginning of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the INmusic Festival, which will take place at Zagreb’s popular Jarun Lake between June 22nd and 24th 2015. Morrissey’s first concert in Croatia occurred as part of the first edition of the INmusic Festival in 2006, when it still took place at Šalata, and that particular performance is remembered as the best concert of the tour, which is a good enough incentive to try to repeat such an experience. During the upcoming concert, Morrissey will promote songs from his latest album, “World Peace Is None of Your Business”.

Steven Patrick Morrissey became famous as the singer and songwriter for The Smiths, a band whose first single, “Hand in Glove”, from 1983, immediately became hugely popular. After the band broke-up in 1987, Morrissey continued a successful solo career. Six months after the release of The Smiths’ final album he recorded his first solo album, “Viva Hate”, which shot to the top of the British music charts. His solo career has been marked by hits such as “Everyday is like Sunday”, “Irish Blood, English Heart”, “First of the Gang to Die” and “You have killed me”. His opus shaped numerous generations of music fans, as well as influenced many bands, including Radiohead, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand etc.

Last year he published an autobiography, and he often attracts public attention with controversial statements about his political views and an uncompromising struggle for animal rights.

Tickets, priced at 229 kuna (plus transaction costs), can be purchased online via the festival’s official webpage at www.inmusicfestival.com, as well as at the Dirty Old Shop. Organizers advise fans to get their tickets as soon as possible because the concert is taking place at a 2000 seat venue, and it will not be moved to a larger capacity venue despite the very likely great public interest.
